Chinese man drinks gasoline for 42 years

Just the smell of it makes me want to do just about anything but drink the stuff. I don't know how huffers can get high off petrol, either.

For the Aussies among you, the guy looks a bit like comedian Dave Hughes, prompting Hughesy to issue a denial that it was him!

Diesel would be a much safer option. It's far less likely to ignite when using a naked flame. However, it's a bitch to wash the smell out of your clothes if you spill it on them. Trust me, I know about this.

Well, if the Russians can drink alcohol made from 2x4s, then the Chinese can drink gas! Maybe that's why the two countries get along so well.

They say the Cantonese will eat anything with four legs except a table and anything with wings except an aeroplane. You could make the same assertion that the Russians have given a go to anything that can be converted to alcohol. Their life expectancy, especially the men, is significantly reduced as a result.

When he finally kicks the bucket, they'll need to take care at the crematorium. :rofl2:

These days if you are up to no good you should leave your own mobile at home. I suppose there are people who might not know that, but sim registration is pretty pointless endeavor. They tried this twice before and realized it was a waste of time so I'll go with it wont last very long. I had a mate register mine in HIS name!!!

I didn't say I'm scared of it. I'm saying it's a fruitless exercise (if it's being done to prevent terrorism, or any illegal use of communications). If you use mandatory SIM registration, something else will become the most convenient means of detonation. You're just wasting your time trying to close off that avenue, and wasting your time arguing it will have any effect. You can go to any shop that sells soldering irons and buy everything you need to detonate a bomb from hundreds of miles away. You can even use the radio devices used in radio controlled toys. What will you do then, start banning radio controlled toys? I built my first FM radio transmitter when I was ~15 years old and started broadcasting on the same frequency as BBC Radio 1 to interfere with it for a laugh, even though it's completely illegal to do so. I have WiFi equipment sitting in my office that will reliably bridge WiFi communications for 5 kilometres. You can buy WiFi routers from ANYWHERE. You can even make the crappiest WiFi router transmit for many miles with a wok or a satellite dish. What next, ban WiFi routers and woks?

Of course you are not government. A government has a bigger responsibility than a private entity to provide security to its citizen, and this include regulate SIM card usage by registering it. If you don't use it to commit offense I don't see why you are scare of it.   You are talking about the equipment (microphone, keyboard etc) vs SIM card which is not comparable. They are equivalent to handphone, which does not need registration. And I am talking about SIM card which people use for or capable of being used to do bad thing. You use keyboard (no registration required) to type threatening mail to blackmail some one by using email. But doesn't email need to be registered? Like my email address or yours. If so the authority will have a mean to track you and catch you. Imagine a SIM card without any registration, how would you know who is the culprits using it to do bad things?   Using handphone to detonating a bomb is the most commonly use method which is why the government want to register the SIM card. Hat Yai bombing and other southern province bombing were mostly involve using handphone. No? Don't ask me why because I got no idea. I have never seen a bomb before let alone know how to use a handphone to detonate it. But it was a fact. Out of 10 bomb case in Thailand how many were involved using phone? And how many were using the so called radio wave, visible lights etc etc? Clearly it is the easiest way to detonate a bomb, and most commonly use. So by regulating the SIM card is the most sensible way to go about it. No?

No one has mentioned if there is any charge to this registration, to a point at least there would be a financial argument to this. GCHQ and other generic agencies around the world I am sure are already listening to phone calls without your knowing so For me I think this is a rather redundant attempt at control. All the criminals are going to do is resort to coded messages, or like someone else said steal a phone. Another reason for the crooks to up their game in phone theft. Not to mention, the hackers in this world will have no problem fixing the sims in some way.

Sure. Just like bad guy steel your car and use it to commit robbery. But you need to report it when it's stolen. So? Ban all cars?   Sure they don't care. I can steel your id and use it to borrow money from loan shark. It happened here many many times. The system has loop holes definitely but you cannot just because of this the government don't do anything. By registering the SIM card it makes people more difficult to commit crimes which is good thing.    Even a tourist needs to register its SIM card. No?
