Hey littlegirl, your doing well with your English, If I ever get to read and write Thai like you do English I will be happy. Thai script is a complete mystery to me at the moment, as for this forum, what I like most about it is the joking around. Life is too short to take too seriously, having a good laugh, even at your own expense, is a good way to be.
@ METHOS: Thank you for your point. I am not at that... serious . I am also too old to be hurt by those jokes. Therefore, there is no point for me to get up set about your jokes. I just felt like Ms.luannt was trying her best to express her opinion (a good perspective though). Should we not make it a joke?
They're not making jokes about her English being limited. What she said was actually very clear...short and concise and to the point. Even if what she said is not the way that English speakers would say it...she managed to do it in a way that was very understandable and quite possibly the shortest way of conveying it. It was also funny to hear it said that way. You should not take offense at all. We all come from different backgrounds on this forum and not all of us speak the same, native language. I assure you, if some of us tried to speak your native language, some of the things that we say would also be funny to you...and you wouldn't laugh because our understanding is limited, but because of the way we say certain things or pronounce certain things. It makes things interesting and fun. Both of you speak English well enough to be understood, and it's good to have insight from a Vietnamese woman's perspective.
It depends on what your definition for "good girl" is. My definition for "good man" is "handsome" (for illustrative purposes only but it is not necessary to be different from the truth ^^). And my friend told me that it was the worst definition for this term. Humh! So I guess your strategies to meet your good girl(s) should base on this. Goodluck
