Who is Brother Eddie?

His official website.

Brother Eddie will also run for presidency this year. He tried this before, but was not successful. Arroyo was elected instead of him.

Much what he says is true, and he has also a lot of support - he claims he met the Lord personally 1973, his church is much US orientated.

Reverend Mandrunk says: With such schizophrenic christian style family planning, it's inevitable you'll have plenty of p!$s poor people in despair ready to turn to the lord... pffft.

Brother Eddie is not a Catholic.
His family planning is somewhatsuspect, however...

Strange that a non-Catholic Pentecostal church could gain 6 million members in a short time in a Catholic country. I would have thought the entire Catholic church and all its bishops would be against it and against Eddie becoming El Presidente.

He seems to condone any contraceptive method that doesn't involve killing - so he would be in favour of condoms and in direct conflict with the Catholic Church:

There are many churches, with their ideology much farer away from the Catholic Church than brother Eddie. For example the Iglesia ni Cristo.

And why not Brother Eddie? Sounds like a good compromise.

All presidents before him were not evangelists, but either military related like Marcos or wife/children from rich families, like Aquino or Arroyo. And as a MUST all Philippine presidents MUST be USA-friendly - Brother Eddie is fitting perfectly into this group of Filipino high society.

He is serving Christian religion on one side much more than all Philippine presidents before him as he is an evangelist himself, and on the other side he is USA-friendly.

And not to forget, Brother Eddie is facing strong competition.

Brother Mike, the best example, is deeply Catholic minded with his El Shaddai group, but he is getting old now.

See the movie, Brother Mike celebrating the biggest Mass in the world....a super-star and his monster-show...

On August 20, 2009, El Shaddai inaugurated a 1 billion Philippine peso House
of Prayer (approximately US$21 million at the contemporary exchange rate) on a
ten hectare site in Amvel City, Barangay San Dionisio, Paranaque, Metro Manila.

The cost does not included the land, which will be paid for over 20 years. The
building is 10,000 square meters and seats 16,000 with standing room for another
25,000. There is space on the site for an overflow crowd.

The building was inaugurated by Philippine
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Velarde's 70th
birthday.[/quote]

No need to go to the president, because the president will come to visit you!

This is a list of the other candidates for presidency... Brother Mike is NOT running for presidency.

It seems Brother Eddie is the strongest candidate out of all according to opinions etc. collected by newspapers etc.

And this is the list of religious leaders who are also into politics, like Brother Mike

I see that figures released today show that 565,000 migrants arrived in the UK in the last 3 years. I understand that the majority of them work hard and pay their taxes, but how much longer can the already crippled infrastructure of the UK cope? Schools, hospitals, housing and other utilities are simply not coping. The vast majority of the migrants are coming from Europe, most of them unskilled or semi-skilled and are forcing wages down for those in already low paid jobs. The problem is that whilst the UK economy is growing (allegedly) the majority of the rest of Europe is still firmly gripped in recession, thus there is going to be a continual conveyor belt of unwanted migrants turning up on our doorstep, placing even further strain on infrastructure? As Han Solo once said “I have a bad feeling about this”.
