To avoid getting caught by the camera you can use a black tape to cover part of your license plate no like 9 will become 3. Then there is no way they can identify you as the system does not match the actual license no you are having.
One of my regular drivers would have pointed them out. Plus the way the traffic behaves, people keep crossing on amber and red if they think they can. We've only just had countdown lights installed at most major crossings, maybe cameras are next, I'll certainly be on the look out for them.
Are you sure about that? They don't go out of their way to make them visible in the same way as they do in the UK. They just look like normal security CCTV cameras hidden in the jumble of cables and poles at the junction. It's easy to miss them.
